The Mountain Path: Treatment Planning in Relational Transactional Analysis

When I first heard the phrase treatment plan, I flinched a little. It sounded like something done to a person rather than with them. This short book is about how I came to hold a plan differently, as a compass rather than a map.

Written for trainees and colleagues, it sets out what treatment planning is and why it matters, describes the image of the mountain path that shapes how I work, and walks through my own treatment plan one section at a time, from the working alliance and clinical aims to relational dynamics, social context and the signs that something is changing.
