Therapy in Falmouth, Truro and Online: Finding Support in Cornwall

Cornwall is a good place to live and a hard place to ask for help. Communities are small, people know each other, and a man who walks into a therapy room can worry that someone will see him go in. Work is often seasonal or physical, and the culture of getting on with it runs deep. None of that makes struggling any less real.

I work in Falmouth, and I also work online with men across Cornwall and the rest of the UK. If you are nearer Truro, I have a page for that as well. Online therapy suits some men better than they expect: no travelling, no waiting room, and sessions that fit around shifts, tides or family.

What I offer is weekly, relational psychotherapy. That means we pay attention to what happens between us as well as what you tell me, because the patterns that cause trouble in your life tend to appear in the room. It is adult to adult, and it is confidential.

People often ask how to choose between meeting in person and meeting online. There is no wrong answer. Some men like the walk to the session and the separation it creates from the rest of the day. Others find it easier to begin from their own kitchen table. Many start one way and change.

If you are not sure whether therapy is for you, the earlier articles in this library may help, particularly the ones on what happens in a first session and whether therapy works for men who do not like talking.

Inner Warrior Therapy offers psychotherapy for men in Falmouth, Cornwall and online across the UK. If you would like to talk about working together, you are welcome to send an enquiry. To read about therapy near Truro, see Therapy near Truro.
